This program season brings you discussions with human rights luminaries and religious leaders, dialogues on issues affecting the world, site-specific music experiences, and activities that encourage a more spiritual and mindful way of living.

Experience the transformative power of this sacred space. Check back for an updated 2018-19 Season Brochure.

2019 Rothko Chapel Spring Symposium
"Toward a Better Future: Transforming the Climate Crisis"

During the 2018-2019 season, the Chapel will focus on the human costs and responsibilities related to climate change – with special attention on those who live on the social, political and economic margins. Engaging this topic is particularly timely as there is an unprecedented interreligious, artistic, scientific, environmental, academic and philanthropic convergence and consensus that climate change is one of the most critical, moral and ethical issues facing us today. Since Houston is the self-proclaimed “energy capital of the world,” we have a unique opportunity to engage a larger constituency and place our regional work within the context of broader national and international climate change efforts. To learn more, click here.

Living Mindfully

Providing a space to explore the relationship between the sacred  and the self, this series includes practices, discussions, and gatherings that cultivate a more spiritually focused and mindful life.  To learn more about our Twelve Moments series, click here.

Concerts in the Chapel
