People from all parts of the world and all walks of life visit the Chapel for renewal and restoration. They come to experience prayer, meditation, religious services, lectures, concerts, or simply sit in silence among the magnificent Mark Rothko murals.
Toward a Better Future: Transforming the Climate Crisis
The Rothko Chapel will explore the human impact of climate change, with special attention to those who live on the social, political and economic margins, and how communities are effectively addressing this global challenge.
The Rothko Chapel will be closed for renovation from March 4, 2019 until winter of 2019.

Private Wedding Ceremony
The Chapel will close to the public at 3:30 PM for a private wedding ceremony. The Chapel will reopen to the public at 5:00 PM.

This Season’s Experiences
The Rothko Chapel invites people from all backgrounds and walks of life to discover how to address the diverse and complex needs in the world around us. In addition to offering a quiet place for reflection, meditation, and prayer, the Chapel presents public programs that celebrate community, address contemporary human rights issues, explore the transcendent power of art, and lift up wisdom found in the world's religions. The Chapel is open to the public at no charge every day of the year.
