Benefit Art Auction
In support of the Rothko Chapel’s transformative programming and community leadership, we extend an invitation to you to support the Chapel's 2024 spring fundraiser, Inspirit: Rothko Chapel’s Evening of Inspiration. We are very excited to present:
Celebrated actor, art collector, and advocate Cheech Marin,
Legendary civil rights advocate and organizer Dolores Huerta, and
Art League Houston’s 2023 Texas Artist of the Year Vincent Valdez.
They will headline the event and join in conversation about the important relationship between art and activism including their commitment to furthering interest in Chicano art and efforts to address the world’s most pressing human rights and social justice issues. Following the program, guests are welcome to continue these conversations at their table alongside dinner.
In addition to being an evening of inspiration, Inspirit is also designed to raise both funds in support of and awareness about the Chapel’s mission. Inspirit includes a Benefit Art Auction of twenty-seven exceptional works of art donated by prominent artists and preeminent galleries. The auction is live on Artsy.net until March 7, 2024 at 12:00PM CST (bookmark this bidding link: www.artsy.net/rothkochapel). Selected works will be on display for public viewing at the McClain Gallery throughout the duration of the auction during gallery hours.
