Meditate with a Himalayan Monk

Meditate with a Himalayan Monk
Guided Meditation by His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda
Pay What You Can $0-25, general admission bench seating

Join a transformative midday experience with His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda, a Himalayan siddha monk and meditation adept, as he leads a guided meditation rooted in the tradition of ancient Himalayan techniques. This guided meditation is suitable for all levels.

The session will open with a brief introduction to the conceptual framework of the practice, followed by the meditation led by His Holiness. Participants will be guided to still the fluctuations of thought and imagery, reposing into a space of self-awareness within the tranquil atmosphere of the Rothko Chapel. The event will conclude with a few moments of fellowship outside by the reflection pond, where guests may exchange words and greetings with His Holiness and nun of the monastic order, Sadhvi Girija.

Take this opportunity to mindfully pause during your day, reconnect with inner stillness, and experience the timeless teachings of Himalayan meditation and higher yoga in a sacred and serene setting. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to settle into the space before the start of the program.

About His Holiness
His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda is a Himalayan siddha monk, who hails from unbroken lineages of the combined heritage of rishi sages and nath meditation adepts. He has directly learnt the Himalayan Kriyayoga meditation system from Tryambaknāth, (popularly known as Mahavatar Babaji). Currently, His Holiness is developing Sambhala Online University based on the teachings from Jñanā-gañja, a siddha enclave commonly known as Sambhala located in Tibet, east of Limpiadhura Pass bordering India. He is among the very few experts outside of India who has been awarded the degree of DLitt et Phil (Mahāmahopādhyāya) by the erstwhile President of the Association of Indian Universities and by the Sanskrit scholars of Calcutta, India. The degree was conferred in recognition of his meditative interpretation, scholarly analysis, and ability to articulate the philosophical nuances of Sanskrit literature. He is the spiritual founder of the US Nonprofit, Self Enquiry Life Fellowship.
