From 2024–2025, the Chapel continued to 
build strong momentum on Opening Spaces, 
the multi-year campus expansion that will 
deepen our capacity for reflection, learning, 
and community engagement. Significant 
progress was made on the development and 
construction of both the Kathleen & Chuck 
Mullenweg Peace and Reflection Garden 
and the new Administration Building, which 
will include the Michael Piana Board Room 
and the Cyvia Wolff Archives and Library.
The work accomplished this year moves these 
transformative projects into their final stages 
and prepares the Chapel for the next phase 
of implementation. As we enter the next fiscal 
year, the Opening Spaces initiative includes 
groundbreaking scheduled for December 
2024 on the expanded campus elements. 
This new facility will significantly enhance 
our ability to host mission-aligned programs, 
convenings, and community gatherings. This 
milestone marks the transition from years of 
planning and preparation into the culminating 
stage of construction and activation that 
will shape the Chapel’s expanded campus 
for decades to come.
