Discussion and Reflection
Series Co-Sponsored by the Rothko Chapel and the Magdalen Community
Facilitated by The Reverend Betty Adam
The Rothko Chapel and the Magdalen Community present a series of reflections and dialogues on compassion throughout the month of June. The Reverend Betty Adam, Resident Canon Theologian of Christ Church Cathedral and representative of the Magdalen Community, will facilitate the series of special programs. Reflections will be held June 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10 a.m., and dialogues about compassion will be June 9, 16, and 23 at 12 noon. The series is keyed to the one-page document known as The Charter for Compassion, which was inspired by Karen Armstrong, a well-known author and spokeswoman for peace among religious traditions. Unveiled in November 2009, The Charter for Compassion identifies compassion as an essential ingredient for global harmony.
